The stay was quite enjoyable, especially the room with a breathtaking view of the golf course. The breakfast area was spacious, and the food was nice, particularly the warm scones during afternoon tea, which were a highlight. the Wi-Fi was slow at times, and there were some noisy guests outside. it was a lovely getaway near the scenic Dartmoor Zoo that we visited.

A Pleasant Retreat with Room for Improvement
I enjoyed a relaxing stay in the countryside, with a lovely pool area and friendly staff who made me feel welcome. The golf course nearby adds a nice touch for leisure activities. the WiFi was underwhelming. maybe consider working from a café instead.

The suite we eventually moved to offered more space and a cooler environment, providing a much-needed respite for our dog. The approach to the hotel, with its manicured gardens, sets a pleasant tone, and the leisure facilities, particularly the hot tubs and steam room, added a nice touch to our stay.
Parking can be a hassle, especially with golfers occupying the car park, requiring a longer trek to reach the hotel. The dining options need a bit of fine-tuning, as acoustics in the main dining room can be overwhelming during peak hours. The lack of hooks in the bathrooms and for dressing gowns feels like a missed detail. I also felt restricted by the hotel’s dog policy, as navigating the corridors with a dog can be challenging, and the outdoor service during breakfast was limited, requiring numerous trips back and forth.

The leisure facilities were fantastic, especially the option to dine alfresco on the terrace overlooking the golf course. Our five kids loved the space to run around and the friendly staff were always ready to help. It made our family trip enjoyable!
My wife says that the noise from the dishwasher at night was unbearable for us. It disrupted our sleep repeatedly, which made the stay less relaxing.

Just a reliable pick for a weekend outing in Plymouth with best value. The spacious room was comfortable for a good night’s sleep. For a quiet morning, request a room away from the golf course.
